I was on my bike.
I went through a narrow gap to overtake the car in front.

Is it correct to say "go through a narrow gap to overtake?

Is this correct?
It's hard to overtake a car in /on such a narrow street.

Anonymous I went through a narrow gap to overtake the car in front. Correct. Note that we much more often say "pass" instead of "overtake" (a vehicle in traffic).
