Go somewhere or go a certain place?

Hi. Please tell me which is correct. For this, let's say the questions below are questions for the lyrics of a song. In the song, let's also say that the man said, "I must go to XXX," and the letter "XXX" denotes a city. Thank you for your help in advance.

1. He said he must (had to?) go somewhere in the song. Where is that?
2. He said he must (had to?) go to a certain place in the song. Where is that?
