Go slow vs Go slowly?

Travelling along any roads, we usually see traffic boards and on those it is written,

  • Go slow

Why not Go slowly?

Other examples,

Don't waste any time, come quick/quickly.

I failed in the examination since I got the admission very late/lately.

I know words with -ly are adverbs, but using adverbs in place of adjectives; Is it correct?

Please help me out!

There is no reason, at all, it is plain incorrect, usually indicating informality. It isn't correct, but it is accepted as informal. Your last example is late , because you're describing the admission, not the 'get'.
