It would be grammatical, of course, but highly unusual in my experience. I have never heard an article used before show business.

To expand on my first post, the only time an article can be used before show business is when the phrase is used as a modifier, as in the show business community. (Thanks, COCA.)

Usually, yes.

Show business is treated as uncountable. rather as in some contexts, entertainment is. It's not actually a 'business'.
