Go for vs Go with

Hi

Imagine a conversation:

-Wow would you correct this: I was look out.
-I'd go (for/with): 'I was looking out.'

Or:

-Is it black or white?

-I'd go (for/with) black.

Which one is correct if I mean 'I would choose' or 'I think' or something similar.

Thanks in advance.
