Go far

Hello guys,

When the phrase "go far" means "being a help", is it alright to use it by itself, without preposition after the phrase, for example, "go far towards" or "go far to"?

In that sense, is the sentence below correct?

(If it is awkward, how can it be better?)

hoping to hear your opinions.

Thanks for your concerns.
