hello, what does it mean when something goes down a storm?

Never heard it. If it's Beckham it's probably British. Sounds like she didn't like it.

There are a couple of similar expressions. Mary Poppins - "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down." "I just couldn't swallow it!" "It's going down!", meaning an expected scenario is about to play out.
