Hello

I bought a heavy metal album by a group called Lonestar, that didn't go down so well.

---- I understand that "didn't go down" may mean that the group wasn't successful or that he didn't like the album he bought???

Huh, interesting I could read both meanings. As it is, I think I would say he didn't like the album. For the successful meaning I would expect something like "it didn't go down so well with audiences." But that's just my reading. I'd be interested in hearing what other people think about that. Was there more context with this? It appears to be informal, something one might find in an onlin
