Grammar

go doing / do the doing

Hello! Could you help me, please? Have I understood correctly that all ing-expressions with "go" go without "the" and with "do" do? Emotion: smile For example:

I go shopping.
I do THE shopping.

I go gardening.
I do THE gardening.

etc.

And what is the difference in the sense of such expressions when we use "go" and "do" with ing-forms?

Thank you!
