go as far as vs go so far as

Hi, everyone!

I guess #2 below is wrong while the others are right whether we use either 'so' or 'as' in #3 and #4. Am I right?

1. I will go as far as I can go with it.(O)
2. I will go so far as I can go with it.(X)
3. So/as far as I know I will go to Europe in 3 months.
4. I will help you as/so far as I can.
