Go and pick somebody up

Is there any verb which describes the act of going to somebody and picking them up to go somewhere else ?
e.g.
A: (on the phone) Hi,
B: Hi
A: Do you go to university today ?
B: Yeah, I'm leaving in 20 minutes.
