Go all Scully on me...

Chloe: People have been playing (Fool around?) with the Kiwatche cave
paintings for years just trying to get on the 6:00 news.

Jimmy: Wow. Get a competition in the story department
and suddenly you go all Scully on me. Scrutinize?

Chloe: It's not that. It's just, I don't think Smallville
is destined to be the next Stonehenge.

Playing - "investigating" might be a better description of what people have been doing, but her use of "playing" to describe it shows that she doesn't take what they've done very seriously. " I am probably the only American who has never watched this show but it dealt with investigating the paranormal. It also had very distinctive theme music that serves as a cultural reference in itself, in the same way that the first few bars of the "Twilight Zone" theme can be jokingly used to indicate something "spooky" or unexplainable.

Thanks, D!
I watched The X Files when I was still very little.
But I don't remember anything significant from the show.
