Go

My class is going to Mexico for a field to help children, but I can't go, and I tell my teacher:

"I can't go to Mexico, because I have to stay back and train for regionals" Or

"I can't come to Mexico, because I have to stay back and train for regionals"

Are both useable?

Thanks!
