GMAT Verbal

Does anyone have any idea on how to tackle the GMAT Verbal section? I have gone through 3 review books from various vendors. My second GMAT examination is coming up in 2 weeks.

I thought I couldn't speak English after I took the first examination. It was very depressing. Even though my quatitative score was acceptable, it couldn't balance the rediculously low verbal score.

I graduated from a 4 year U.S. university with a Business degree 6 years ago. Before that, I studied in U.S. since middle school. I have been working in U.S. since my graduation. I have no problem communicating with anyone. But the GMAT score tells the another story. Is GMAT out of touch or am I speaking non-standard English for the past 20 years?

If you read this far, thank you for your time. Let's just prove a point. I am not a great writer. Can someone point out some of my grammatical errors in this posting? I did not spend anytime proof reading.

You might want to post specific questions with the suggested answers from your review books, and tell us what seems to be the problem -- which answer you chose and why. Maybe we can determine what specific areas you need to study most.
