Glutton

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone could tell me the word which we use for a person who favors eating so much.

Is glutton a proper word?

Thank you in advance

Hi, 'Glutton' is fine. I don't hear it a lot, perhaps because it sounds so negative. I hear eg He eats too much.

Thank you for your reply. Why negative?

You can also use Gourmand, epicure .

foodie is a positive adjective for someone who is interested in cooking and eating food.

The second meaning of gourmet might be helpful for you too.

Gourmet: someone who knows a lot about food and wine and enjoys good food and wine.
