One of the most critical challenges the
worldis facing today is global heating. Not only does
isresult in large-scale shifts in weather patterns, but the sea levels are rising, because of the melting of glaciers, which could lead to climate refugees. In
thisessay, I will examine two factors that are contributing to global warming and suggest ways to improve the situation. The main cause of global heating is the burning of fossil fuels. The
world's population has become dependent on oil, coal and natural gas to operate on a daily basis.
Theseincrease
ofgreenhouse gases, methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is leading to a rise in the plant's
tempretures. Paris,
for instance, recorded the hottest summer ever in 2016. The citizens in the country
wasnot used to the high temperatures and many passed away due to
heat stroke.
Moreover, the sea levels are rising due to the melting of glaciers and ice sheets. The seawater is warming due to the earth's high temperature which is a result of global warming. The rising of sea levels would result in climate refugees, which means that people would have to migrate due to
floodin, because it might result in people losing their homes and jobs. It is
predictitedfor instancethat the Bahamas which is a small island would be underwater by 2050 because of climate change. Global heating is slowly increasing which could lead to disastrous consequences for the
nextgeneration. There are,
however, some options to alleviate the problems caused by global heating, which individuals and
govenernmentcan take. Individuals can reduce their carbon footprint by using public transport
insteadof driving their own private car. If commuters make use of trains, buses and trams they will emit less air pollution. Another
,solutionwould be for
governmentto invest in renewable sources of
energy. Generating
energythat produces no greenhouse gases would reduce air pollution. Germany is the
worldleader in renewable
energyas they
are encourageevery household to invest in solar
energyto
substaintheir household. Investing in renewable
energyand public transportation systems would take
pressureofthe rate
inwhich global warming is
effectingthe
world. In conclusion, even though global warming seems to be an inevitable part of
modern daylife, it need not
tobe. With creative thinking and everyone doing their part, the situation could be improved.
