Gloat or show off

Hello everyone,

Could you help with the following?

If someone has something which is so expensive, e.g.,"a car". He shows off with his car among people and drives it arrogantly, because the people around him don't have an expensive car like his .

A. Can we use the verbs "show off" and "gloat" to describe his arrogance due to his possession as follows?

1. He usually shows off with his car.

2. He usually gloats about his car.

B. If you have better words or alternatives than mine to state that meaning, could you please tell me?

Regards,

JA

Hi You have it quite right. You are describing someone who is always showing off their expensive possessions and gloating about their own good fortune. Another way of saying it is 'He is always boasting'.
