glass me

When you hit someone with a glass can you say "he glassed me"?. I've heard it a couple of times but this sounds very unusual to me.
What do you think?

Not really. People get hit with glasses pretty often where you are? You can verb any noun, but you will rarely be understood.

Bottles are used more often over here, I think.

Anyway, I've heard "he glassed me" on Top Gear. Perhaps, it's not uncommon in the UK.

Its quite a common slang term used here in Australia.Even media will use the term "glassing" for glass related violence.

Must be a pub thing. We don't have those. We just go ahead and shoot each other.
