Webster's says "excitingly attractive". It gives synonyms: exotic, marvelous, romantic, fantastic. glamorous always suggests something out of the ordinary, something with an aura of unobtainable luxury for the ordinary person.

'Exotic' means 'marvelous' or 'unobtainable'?

I bend the knee to Webster, but there are many glamorous things which I don't find attractive.
My understanding is that attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder, while glamour is not. Glamour is in the eye of the stylemaker.

Perhaps I'm off the beaten track.
