giving / passing / sending the parcel

Do I say,

1 The postman is giving / passing / sending the parcel.
2 The postman is giving / passing the parcel to the man.
3 The postman sent the parcel to the man.

I know the best word is "delivering", but if I use another words to say, isn't correct?

Top answer

Postmen do not send parcels to people; they deliver them. During the delivery, they may pass (over), give, or hand (over) the parcel to the recipient.
