Giving my respects

Hello. I have written an essay on kinds of intelligence and I have written the sentence below trying to define kinesthetic intelligence by giving an example. Does it make sense to you?

For experts, this is called kinesthetic intelligence, for me, it is giving my respects to my salsa friends who can easily follow the instructor's steps while I cannot move my leg.
