Give temporary relief for/on

I have made up the sentences below.

(1) The new toothpaste gives temporary relief for sensitive teeth.

(2) The new toothpaste gives temporary relief on sensitive teeth.

May I ask two question?

(A) Is it correct to say "give temporary relief"?

(B) Which preposition "for" or "on" is correct?

Thank you very much for your help.
