Give sth to sb

Hello!

Could you please help me..

I know there are at least two patters concerning the verb 'give' :

to give sth to sb

to give sb sth

for example:

I give my notes to you.

I give you my notes.

What about this kind of sentences:
  1. Please give me the notes Tom gave you.
  2. Please give me the notes Tom gave to you.
  1. The advice I give her every day is pointless.
  2. The advice I give to her every day is pointless.
Are both 1 and 2 ok? I think sentences no. 1 are more common but 2s are correct as well...

Thank you for your help.
