Give rise to lead to

Hello

I am a night owl because the quiet of the night gives rise to reflection.

In my sentence, a native speaker tells me that the use of “give rise to” makes the sentence poetic. Dictionaries define “give rise to” as trigger, induce. what is the nuance of this turn of phrase that makes it a a better choice than for example lead to.

I am eager to figure this out. I would appreciate it if you would help me.
