Give me little explanation please.

Hi all,

1. I am broke at the moment. Does it mean, I have no money and poor right now?

2. I have been broke a number of times. Does it mean, I faced money problem a number of sometimes.

3. I have a bunch of records I want to give away. What is the meaning of this sentence?

4.Last night we ended up just staying home, it was too cold to go out. Does it mean last night they stayed at home without going out because of cold outside.

Please correct me, if my meaning is wrong.

I found on the dictionary the phrase "to go broke" could I then say "My company went broke"? or "My company was about to go broke"?
