give me a hand!!

" the environmental 'virus' makes more infectious" in this sentence, Should "makes" be replced with " is made " ? of course I know it should be more natural in usage ? but what about this sentence? " She will make a good wife " as a second langauge learner, it is a little confusing but I want to know if the first sentence is 100% wrong. looking forward to native speakers' decent answers
