Are these sentences correct:


a) "People should never give in to pressures."


b) "People should never yield to pressures."



(And in case both are correct, which is more common?)

No. "Pressures" is different from "pressure". You can't give in to pressures. We speak of the pressures of life on the tundra or the pressures at the office. Pressures are difficulties of a sort. Pressure in this context is coercion, and you can either give in or yield to that.
