Give difficulty

Hi

I don't know a better way to express this, but

This gives you a hard time / difficulty walking, seeing etc..

Is the word gives appropriate here? Any better way to rephrase this example?

Thanks

Give is okay. " But is this a question? If so, I would say: Does this give you/cause you...?

  • Give is okay.
  • " But is this a question?
  • If so, I would say: Does this give you/cause you...?
  • Also: a hard time and difficulty walking etc are not exactly interchangeable.
  • "A hard time" is a generalized condition, but "difficulty walking" is a specific condition.

Give is okay. You could also use "cause."
But is this a question?

If so, I would say:

Does this give you/cause you...?

Also: a hard time and difficulty walking etc are not exactly interchangeable. "A hard time" is a generalized condition, but "difficulty walking" is a specific condition.

You can also word this differently:
