Vocabulary

Girl or woman

I'm afraid that I can't express myself well,

more than what age constitutes 'a woman',and less than what age constitutes 'a girl'?

For example, to the female people aged 18, which should I use 'girls' or 'women'?

thank you.

My feminist daughter forbids me to use "girl" to describe a woman of any age! A 50 year old woman may say, "I'm going out with the girls tonight," speaking of her contemporaries - just not in front of my daughter! " Much older than that, "a young woman" would be safer.

You'd be safe to refer to an 18 year old whom you didn't know, as "a girl." Much older than that, "a young woman" would be safer.

different from person to person?

Yes. A lot of it is cultural. If the people in your workplace speak of "the girls in the office" in a respectful way, then it's okay to do the same, regardless of their age.
"The girl sitting at the second desk" is different, unless you know her personally.

You never can tell who is going to be offended by being called "a girl." Better to be safe.

That's very interesting opinion.
