GIFTS ARE NOT NEEDED

Dear Teachers,

A: Happy birthday! I brought you a gift.
B: Wow. Only one congratulation of yours will be enough to me. Gifts are not needed.

- Is the clause for B a polite way to answer?

Thanks very much to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

The intent is very good, but it can be improved: "Only your congratulations" will be enough for me....."
