Gift

Suppose.....

If 'x' gifts a present to 'y' just for giving sake. but that gift values more than any other thing to 'y' and 'y' treasures it and keeps it safely with himself/herself. Many years later 'x' have already forgotton what gift he/she had gifted to 'y' that means 'x' had casually given some gift to 'y' without any speacial choice ..

In the above case... is it Ok to write as below:

'sometimes a gift is gifted cassually but the one who gets it values it as a treasure for his/her life time'

or

'the gift is not always chosenly gifted but the one who gets it values ...'

Now 'Y' wants to describe the above situation within 2-3 sentences... Just want to write the something under the image of that gift.. [in very few lines [say 1 or 2] to express how much that gift valued to 'y' .. though it was not peculiarly chosen and the giver has already forgotton the gift.

Hope the situation is expressed properly . please help me out in words... as this is going to go to my blog I dont wish it to be public..

Is this ok??

The gift given may be chosen at random but, that gift is often the most treasured possession of the recipient if the giver is valued as someone special by her/him.

thanks

Almost. I suggest this.

The gift given may be chosen at random, but it often becomes the most treasured possession of the recipient if he or she values the giver.
