Well I think there are strange events and occurrences that can't be fully explained. I'll answer this with an open mind, other people might not agree with my reply. Ghosts are usually defined as malevolent and spirits as benevolent.

Ghosts are transparent and howling, they live in dark corners, on attics, in sick minds. Their primary task is to horrify children.

Spirits are invisible and silent, they dwell in champagne bubbles, on wine bottles bottoms, sometimes dissolved in cognac. They can give advises.

To me, spirits are better than ghosts.
