Gherkins

Could you please tell me if there is such thing as sweet variaty of this pickle? Because it seems as an oxymoron to me. (In my languge there is only a sour variety of this pickle). Or does sweet here means mild?

Hi again, it means SWEET by its literal meaning! I got a sweet-sour cocktail pickle(including gherkins) recently. We didn't like it very much because of its unusual (to us!) sweet taste. I just read the ingredients to answer your question, and yes, sugar is one of them. And it is product of Holland, or Netherland!
