Gf

A girl in my facebook friend list suddenly stopped talking to me so I assumed that her boyfriend must gave her instructions to not to talk with other boys. And certainly I was right can I ask her this or it would be ungrammatical?

So finally you moved in on your boyfriend's talk?

In a movie subtitle called "A team" the girl asked you're keep saying lie to me.

The man said will you please stop selling yourself on that.

Now what does it mean it's some kind of idiomatic conversation cause he could've said "stop telling me a lier"

If you need more context I'll provide.
