Getting started /getting underway

Which would you say :

Season 4 has just gotten started, so we don't know what kind of trend it'll set.

Season 4 has just gotten underway, so we don't know hat kind of trend it'll set.

Season 4 is getting started, ...

Season 4 is getting underway, ...

are both GETTING STARTED and GETTING UNDERWAY correct grammatically, What comes before GETTING? is it HAS or IS?

and can you say "what kind of trend it'll set" when you're talking about a show???

and what would the the second clause be

"we don't know what kind of tone/trend it'll set for the rest of the season"

Isn't it

"Episode one set the tone for the rest of the season" or

"Episode one set the trend for the rest of the season"

I know you cant say IS GOTTEN.

Yes, both can be said, BUT, until you can differntiate one from the other, don't say it by patterning.

IS getting underway = Present progresive, meaning it's happening as you speak.

Has gotten underway = present perfect, meaning the activity has already been in progress for sometime.
