"getting a potential job offer"

I'm struggling to understand what "getting a potential job offer" means. If I am invited to attend a job interview, can I say "I have got a potential job offer"? Thanks.

Hi, I wouldn't say it if I received an invitation to an interview. I might say it after the interview, if I thought I did very well in the interview. Clive

Hi,

I wouldn't say it if I received an invitation to an interview.
I might say it after the interview, if I thought I did very well in the interview.
