Get-well message

Hello,

I'm writing an e-mail to a friend of mine.
I would like to know which following expression is better;

"We'd like to express my sympathies for the severe conditions of both of yours."
or
"We'd like to express my sympathies for your severe conditions."

The background is that both of an elderly couple have got illness.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Yoshi

Why are you saying 'we' when you are referring to yourself? Referring to their severe condition is not very encouraging. If you think they will recover, say e g I wish you a speedy recovery and good health.

Saying 'we wish you . . .' is fine.

But if you use "we" then use "our" (not "my").
