GET vs BECOME

Hi,

Would is be appropriate to (profusely :-) use the verb TO GET in technical writing?

Example: suppose I need to explain what advantages a certain software solution has over its hw predicessors. And I am writing:
"Information dessimination gets much simpler" (if using a sw solution).

Shall I use "to become" for "to get" in this and similar context?
