what's the difference between "get used to" and "getting used to"?

1. In this sentence you are saying that at the present time this process is happening. The Present continuous is used for an action at or around the time of speak

If you are used to something, you are accustomed to it - you don't find it unusual. If you get used to something or you are getting used to something you are becoming accustomed to it - it was strange, now it's not so strange.
