'get to go' phrases

Hi,

I have come across these two phrases but not sure if the infinitve "to" is necessary. If you can give me some examples and explanations that would be great.

Do we say "we get to go to some places in Europe" or "we get to go some places in Europe"?

Thanks

I am a British English speaker. To me, "get to go some places" feels American. I would naturally say "get to go to some places".

To me, "to get to go some/a few places" is fairly casual. I would add the "to."

"Let's go someplace!" is an entirely different expression, and the "to" should not be used.
