Thanks. Wow. What she said is not such a standard expression that it is readily apparent what she meant. If I had to guess, I would say that she meant that she will dump him. He will not get the "job" of being her boyfriend.

Or, since there is an earlier reference to her having to work,
it might mean that he does not understand her job, and its stresses and constraints.
