I’m gonna clear out my head. I’m gonna get myself straight. I know it’s never too late To make a brand new start.
I know that I must not study English with the lyrics but I was wondering if the second sentence is acceptable to you because only 'get something straight' phrase is in dictionaries but myself is not something, right? So do you think that 'get someone straight' phrase is also possible and then what does it mean?
Thank you so much as usual!
Top answer
Yes, colloquially you can "get someone straight". It could mean to get someone to give up drugs, for example. Perhaps that is what it means here.

Not to be confused with "set someone straight", which means disabuse them of any misunderstanding.
