Get some of the fee back

Is it correct and natural to say “get some of the fee back”?

You paid someone’s fee for a full days work and :

Since I don’t need you for the full day, could I get some of the fee back./get a partial refund?

thanks

Yes, if it concerns a flat daily rate (fee = singular); however, it's questionable that you could have cause for that, since you booked the service for a whole day. com/definition/us/refund
