Get ready to feel the thunder

What does "get ready to feel the thunder" mean? I cannot find this in the dictionary. There is no "feel the thunder," either.

It is said by Po (Kung Fu Panda) in the Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Furious Five.

Shifu - You ready?

Po - Ready's my middle name.

Po - What do we got? Gang of terrible rhinos? Crocs? Rabid wolves? Let's do it!

Shifu - Be warned. This may be the toughest challenge you've ever had to face.

Po - Get ready to feel the thunder!

Sound is a series of waves of compressed air. The louder the sound the greater the compression. When the sound is loud enough, you can feel the waves striking against your chest.
This is more noticable when the waves are of a lower frequency, as only our ears are designed to respond to higher frequencies.
You can often feel explosions, as in dynamite blasts or the report of large guns.
