Get outed by someone/Out someone

What does get outed by someone/out someone mean, besides ' to say publicly that somebody is homosexual'. As I understand, it means: to report to someone that somebody has done something bad (illegal, unfair, dishonest etc.), am I right? Can you please give your own definition and check my sentences?
For example,
1) He got outed by his own classmates to the teacher for cheating on the test.

2) Even if they caught and tortured me, I would never out my partners to the police/FBI.

3) I got outed my by own men...

Thank you!

Not exactly, in my opinion. I'd say that "to out" means to make public something that was secret. I don't think "something bad" always comes into it, though that is a very common usage.

Your sentences are fine.
