What does "to get locked in" mean?

And what is the difference between "to get locked in" and "to be locked in"?

They leave the room and lock the door.
You have just got locked in. (get locked in ~ become locked in)
Now you cannot leave the room.
You are locked in. (be locked in)

If you have gotten locked in, you are now locked in.
