Get, Have, Want, Like

Hi, I am studying English at university.

I have an interesting question which might intrigue the forum users.

Get: Can you really get my wife working again?

Have: The film soon had us crying.

Since we cannot change the objects above to "get my wife's working" and "had our crying", so the working and the crying above are both participles.

Whereas,

Want: I do not want you coming home so late.

Like: I didn't like him taking all the credit.

Since we can change the objects above to "want your coming" and "like his taking" to be more formal, so the coming and the taking above are both gerunds.

Therefore, the coming and the taking in the sentences above do not mean that sb keep coming repeatedly and keep taking repeatedly, right? They have nothing to do with the repetition of the actions.

Am I right about that?

I very much appreciate your help.
