I don't know how he managed to get by 10 posts in his just 5 minutes log in.

How you managed to get by on this little money?

He can get by with 3 pen for his exam.

hi gary The first example is not really the right usage unless you extend the sentence a little. I don´t know how he managed to get by in his limited 5 minute log in time and still write 10 posts. "get by" means either survive on or cope/deal with some difficult situation.
