Get bombed

I read this sentence online. Should there be a preposition after bombed?

If they didn't want to get bombed they should have messed with us.

Thanks

Anonymous If they didn't want to get bombed , they should n't have messed with us. The meaning is quite strange without the negation. No additional preposition is needed.
