Get blessings through the dream

Hello, everyone! I has one little problem when i tried to translate a line of one character from the anime. I dont understand what it actually means.

The character line is: "Once, there were friends who shared a dream. The goal of one was to make his own dream come true, and he valued that above everything. However, the other wished for blessings through that dream. In time, even though they should have been chasing the same dream, they could not walt together anymore, and went their separate ways.". Im quite not understand what actually means "the other Wished for blessings through that dream". As i get it, he saying that this guy want literally to take a blessings from this dream, but it actually makes nonsense, so that's why im here asking you for help.

And yeah, English isn't my native language and im sorry if i do a lot of mistakes. Especually if you cant understand what im trying to say because i make a lot of mistakes.

I'll be really thanks if you help me!

Sorry, but you're right. It's nonsense. It sounds like the writer was non-native or just a poor thinker.

  • The "blessings" thing is not the only problem, too.
  • If they shared a dream, what does the writer mean by "his own dream"?

If they shared a dream, what does the writer mean by "his own dream"? Some people love the sound of their own voice so much they think they can say anything and it will be all right whether it makes sense or not.
